The virtual interface: Gather Town

 The GATHER TOWN interface

You will be able to experience unique conviviality through a virtual space where you will appear as an avatar

Your camera and microphone will be used to interact with other participants.
Zoom sessions will be accessible from gather.town and via a direct link (sent by email just before).
Poster sessions will take place in the poster room of our gather.town space.
Our sponsors and supporters will be present with booths in the poster room, where you will be able to enjoy live interactions with them.

In the meantime, you can test the gather.town website demo and create a free account for more features if you wish.
The gather.town privacy policy is also listed on this page.

In practice

To log in: a link to enter the gather.town space dedicated to Compact NMR Conference II (CompNMRConfII) as well as the password will be sent to registered participants by email.

No physical badge, so please enter your first and last name when logging in to gather.town and zoom in for easy interaction.

A webcam is required to see you, and a microphone to chat :-)
We strongly recommend using a headset with a microphone to avoid echoes, feedback and other sound disturbances.
In case of echo problems during the conferences, close the browser, stay on zoom only to follow this session and join gather.town at the end of the session.

In case of issues

Gather.town is optimized for Google chrome, Edge and Firefox browsers, other browsers have not been tested.
They must allow gather.town to control the webcam and microphone.
In most other cases, closing the window and reconnecting to the link on gather.town solves the problems.

For oral presentations

The oral presentations will be broadcasted in the CompNMRConfII plenary room in gather.town through an interface with Zoom. The poster session will also take place in CompNMRConfII in gather.town.
Moreover, oral presentations can also be followed through Zoom in the classic way (without going through gather.town).

The microphones will be muted by default.
For questions at the end of the presentation, please ask your questions in the Zoom chat window.
For the sake of fluidity we will ask the question for you or give you the floor if time permits (in this case please activate your microphone when the Zoom interface asks you to).
